2-hour late start for all BSD schools Monday, February 3rd 2025

Due to icy road conditions in our area, All schools in Bellevue School District have a 2-hour late start Monday, February 3rd of February 2025. Updates are shared with families and staff as needed, including on BSD405.org. Effect on students and staff

  • All BSD schools and all-day programs, including early and expanded learning and evergreen transition program, have a 2-hour late start and rejection at the normal time.
    • Normal Schedule Start & Disclaiming Times are available online. Determine your school’s late start time by adding two hours to its usual start time.
  • Kindergarten programs have a two-hour delay during business hours. All half -day preschool classes are canceled.
  • Tutorial and after school activities for primary schools and middle schools are canceled.
  • Breakfast is not served in schools.
  • Individual schools communicate class planning for the day.
  • There may be bad weather and emergencies that are specific to BSD staff Personnel Portal.

Transport

  • Buses run two hours late from their regular time.
    • Buses follow the Snow Plan and your bus stop can be moved to a main road.
  • If your student is using Metro, check their site for the best available route on http://metro.kingcounty.gov/.
    • During periods of bad weather, Metro would try to maintain service according to their regular schedule – even if the school should start late. Listen to messages and have alternative funds arranged to get to and from school if bad weather is present or predicted.
  • Morning and dinner screens are canceled.
  • There will be no district transport to partial preschool classes.
  • There will be no one out of district transport including:
    • McKinney-Vento Taxi Service
    • Shooters between schools
    • Tutorial or activity buses
  • Important: If limited bus connection is needed please check with your school office or bus route information website for limited bus stops.

Childcare

As partner programs for BSD Right in school and Boys & Girls Clubs in Bellevue Communicate directly with participating families on operations, plans, etc. Please now directly to your student’s program for specific questions and to confirm tomorrow’s schedule.

Boys & Girls Club of Bellevue

Boys & Girls Club has informed families that in case of bad weather, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue will follow the schedule for Bellevue School District. If Bellevue School District closes due to severe weather, all club programs are canceled for that day. If BSD is delayed (1 or 2 hours) or closed before school programs are canceled. We will continue to monitor road conditions and will communicate any schedule changes to families via E -mail, text message, social media, district website and telephone.
