Hundreds show up for ‘Justice for Jordan Ride’ to support the tea after attack

Indianapolis hundreds of cyclists drove through Indianapolis on Sunday to show their support for a 14-year-old attack while riding his motorized bicycle through a quarter in the West side.

“Justice for Jordan Ride” started in Ben David Christian Church on High School Road on Sunday afternoon and runs around to Teenager’s neighborhood.

More than 500 cyclists joined the event. Last month, video 46-year-old Jason Harrell, who threatened, showed, pushed and stopped the 14-year-old for riding his motorized bike.

Harrell had previously been upset over children in the neighborhood who rode their motorized bikes on sidewalks or roads.

Video of the meeting withdrew public control and eventually criminal charges against Harrell, facing a crime of threats and two offenses with battery.

Ride -Arrangør John Glass said the situation disturbed him.

“Whatever goes on in your life, you don’t touch a child. There are no excuses for any of it, ”Glass said.

He and others eventually came up with the idea of organizing a trip to show Jordan that he was not alone.

“You have a community behind you, this community loves you and you want lots of outreach. We will give you lots of other places to ride that bike than just on the street. That I can guarantee you! “

While Glass expected a good turnout, he still seemed surprised at the size of Sunday’s ride.

“The biker community is # 1 when it comes to helping children – they will help someone. When something happens to a child, you better expect a turnout. However, this is overwhelming. This was not quite expected. “

He believes that a little kindness goes a long way – something that everyone could use.

“This is what the world needs today. It is peaceful support. “

Harrell is held without bond. He will be in court next time on February 25.
