Kelsea Ballerini makes ‘The Voice’ History with ‘Underhanded’ Use of Coach Replay

Season 27 of “The Voice” marks Kelsea Ballerini’s debut as a full-time coach and she is already doing history.

During February 3rd, Premiere -Episode, Ballerini used his “Coach Replay” in a brand new way. Trainer at “The Voice” gets only one “repetition” per Season so they can recruit a participant, even if they didn’t hum and turned their chair around their blind audition. It is typically used in situations where none of the coaches turn. However, Ballerini used her “repetition” a little differently.

Singer-songwriter did not hit his buzzer during Dan Kiernan’s performance of “High Hopes” by Panic! At the disco, but John Legend and Michael Bublé did. As the legend and Bublé tried to convince Kiernan to join their respective teams, Ballerini began to regret his decision.

Adam Levine does not hum in for Kiernan, but he strengthened Ballerini’s case by telling him, “I would very much like to see you with Kelsea.” Kiernan took Levine’s advice and joined the first team Kelsea in the “The Voice” story.

Ballerini rushed on stage to hug Kiernan and apologize for not turning his chair originally.

“Everything is forgiven,” Kiernan replied excited.

In addition to Kiernan, Ballerini Recruited Iris Herrera and Angie Rey on her team during the 27th season. Herrera returned to redemption after getting zero coach to turn under her blind audition for season 26 of “The Voice.”

“That’s what it takes to be in music,” Ballerini said of Herrera, who took the coaches’ feedback last season and comes back stronger.
