Brown’s Star Edge Rusher Myles Garrett did not just make a trade request – and he did not just make it public via a statement that quickly circulated on social media.

While all this jaws probably on your own after eight years in Cleveland, a line left in the above -mentioned statement above all others truly me gobsmacked.

Consider recent history: Brown’s GM Andrew Berry at his season-ending press conference last month was asked about Garrett, who admitted a few weeks before he would be open to play a place besides Cleveland if it meant not to undergo a Cleveland Genevet Building .

“So let me say in terms of myles, my expectation, expectation, is that he gets a direct ticket from Cleveland to Canton at the end of his (years) and expect him to be here and pull a brown back, Frankly, ”Berry said.

So you can’t say that it wasn’t pointed that Garrett Monday, in his public request, included this line

After many years of internet memories of red laser eyes used to denote excitement of large trades, X users may need to photoshop the same beams on Garrett’s eyes now.

With the unique phrase, it seems that this year’s reigning NFL Defensive Player and Brown’s Front Office are not on the same page about the former future or his true wishes right now.

Because with this statement, Garrett makes it clear: Hall of Fame is lovely, but if we are honest, his resume is already probably there in view of his dpey victory last year, and his already 102.5 career sack alone.

But Super Bowls and Winning are what he is hunting right now as he prepares to enter his ninth season in a league that can be cruel when it comes to the life of the careers.

By publishing the request publicly, Garrett lets the desire for the 31 other teams across the NFL. It allows other organizations to at least start thinking about what they could offer browns to try to lure Cleveland and Berry to bite.

So where does this thing leave? Browns’ attitude has not changed since last week when Berry said in the Senior Bowl that he would not trade Garrett-Self for two elections in the first round and added that he was open to an extension.

Browns have also maintained that they are trying to win now and think they can.

It is also important to note that it is not out of the question in the NFL for a player’s trade request to turn into a contract extension. Even in ugly disputes, the right expansion can lead to both sides playing nicely in the wake.
