Cleveland Browns’ do not intend to trade Texas A&M Legend Myles Garrett

The Myles Garrett era in Cleveland could come to an end as he publicly announced his desire to be traded with this season. Or we thought.

Following the statement released on social media by Garrett, confirming his dream of winning a super bowl before saying his trade needs, it seems that Cleveland Browns is not set to give in to his claim .

According to a report from NFL.com’s Mike Garafolo, Browns has no intention of acting away from the previous No. 1 overall choice.

“Browns stick to their attitude and have no intention of having any conversations or trade Garrett,” Garafolo said.

Garrett’s trade request came weeks after Brown’s General Manager Andrew Berry let it be known that he saw that Garrett was a Browns player throughout his career.

“We really have a good time with Myles openly as a big piece of our future,” Berry said. “We look forward to him being on the field. As I said at my (early January) press conference, we see to us that he is going from Cleveland to Canton when his career is over. “

This vision of Garrett “To go from Cleveland to Canton” was apparently rebuked by Texas A&M Aggies Pass Rusher in his statement.

“The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it’s always been to compete for and win a super bowl,” Garrett wrote in his statement.

After a career at the college station, where he made up 32.5 sacks for three seasons with Agggies, Garrett’s dominance has translated into the NFL.

After completing its eighth season, Garrett now has 352 total tackles, 102.5 sacks, 20 forced fumbles, six fumble recovery, 17 passport breakups, three blocked kicks and a touchdown. He is currently No. 38 on the NFL’s official sack leaders with all times dating from 1982.

Aggie has lived up to the hype that comes with being a previous No. 1 choice, and it is understandable why Browns do not want to see him go. However, after signing an extension of five years of $ 125 million by 2020, Garrett is only under contract in Cleveland for two more seasons.

This means that he will have the opportunity to hit free agency in 2027, at the age of 32. So yes technically, Browns don’t have to move Garrett. Still, unless they want to lose him for nothing in 2027, they would feel better about shopping for the dissatisfied star.
