Trump is hosting the Stanley Cup -Master Florida Panthers in the White House

Miami – President Donald Trump greeted Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers to the White House Monday afternoon to celebrate their historic victory.

Panthers is the first professional sports team to visit Trump in the White House since recovering the office.

Florida caught his first Stanley Cup ever in June and defeated Edmonton Oilers in seven matches in the 2024 Stanley Cup final.

Panthers secured their championship in front of more than 19,000 fans at the American Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, with a 2-1 win in Game 7.

Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe scored for Florida, while goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 savings to seal the victory.

The hard-fought series So Florida takes a commanding 3-0 lead before dropping the next three games, which narrowly avoided becoming the second team in the NHL story to lose the Stanley Cup final after led 3-0. Detroit Red Wings from 1942 remains the only team that suffers that fate.

The victory also denied Edmonton his first championship since 2006 and prevented the Oilers Captain Connor McDavid from securing his first Stanley Cup.
