Tom Aspinall: Latest Tongue Weight Fights’ Absolute Stink ‘,’ calls for the division to be moved with

Tom Aspinall is disappointed with the division he controls.

UFC’s temporary heavyweight master – and No. 1 Heavy weight Overall in MMA Fighting Global Rankings – kept a close eye on the UFC Saudi Arabia, which contained three heavyweight fighting, two of which were light on action.

While a preliminary snoozer between Hamdy Abdelwahab and Jamal Pogues is likely to be forgotten outside a possible scoring controvers, Aspinall was especially derived by the midstall match between top-10 extensions Sergei Pavlovich and Jairzinho Rozenstruk. Pavlovich cracked a two-match’s losing row with a work-man decision on Rozenstruk, a result that did little to trigger Aspinall’s imagination.

Aspinall went to social media after the fight to criticize the state of the division.

“These heavy weights recently struggle absolutely,” Aspinall wrote. “Let’s get some excitement back and stop holding it up.”

Aspinall did not disclose exactly what changes he would like to see, but it does not take much to infer that he continues to push for a association match with master Jon Jones. The two have been in a stalemate when it comes to competing for their titles, with aspinall, which made it clear that he would love to test himself against Jones, arguably the greatest MMA fighter of the time, and Jones repeatedly Rejects Aspinall as an opponent despite British Star’s Interim Champion status.

Jones has mentioned that he prefers a transverse division-matchup with current light tongue weight master Alex Pereira. However, this match will have to wait as Pereira defends his title against Magomed Ankalaev on UFC 313 on March 8.
