Grizzlies Star Making Return vs Spurs

Memphis Grizzlies star Yes Morant returns to Monday evening’s match against San Antonio Spurs.

Morant missed the last two matches while dealing with the right shoulderness. He was listed as questionable to play Monday afternoon.

Before Morant was cleared to play, Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said the two-time all-star had to check a few boxes before they fit up. It includes mobility and range of motion for recording, passing and arm angles.

Morant’s return will help stabilize Grizzlies’ Backcourt. Shooting guard Desmond course is out for Monday’s game, so having Morant Back gives Memphis one of his two dynamic guards in Backcourt.

Grizzlies (33-16) are 14-7 in Morants 21 missing games. They are 19-9 when morant is available.

Morant’s return comes in what should be a week of more grizzlies players coming back from extended absence.

Marcus Smart and Vince Williams Jr. were both upgraded to questionable Monday afternoon’s injuries. The two are out against the spurs, but they could be back to give backcourt depth soon.

“We’ll see, but they’re coming close,” Jenkins said. “A lot of good progress. A lot of contact, full court games, half-track games. They’re in a really good direction.”
