Anthony Davis Pen’s Emotional Goodbye to Lakers in First Comments Since Trade

Anthony Davis closed one door and opened another Monday.

Davis had his time in Los Angeles ended this weekend when he was part of the Blockbuster trade that sent Luka Doncic to Hollywood and the big man to Dallas.

The 10th time NBA All-Star and the 2020 NBA Champ dealt with the trade for the first time Monday in a post on Instagram, reflecting on his Lakers period.

“6 years ago I came here with the vision of winning a championship and I will never forget the moment we did!” Davis wrote in the post. “Basketball’s business is a business like all other businesses … I am grateful to the city where my first ring came from, my family and friendships grew, and I always want a home here. My family and I thank everyone who made this place home and we are still thinking of those who lost their homes in fires.

“To my teammates: Our friendships go beyond a dressing room and a sweater … LA will always have a special place in my heart. Every big story has an exciting next chapter … Dallas- Here we come! “

Not long after, Mavericks published a video on their social media platforms by Davis and Max Christie, who had also been part of the deal, on a private jet apparently on the way to Lone Star State.

“Mavs fans, that’s your boy -ading here with Max,” Said Davis. “We are happy to be part of the organization, part of the team. We do something special with you. We are excited and we can’t wait to get on the floor and support the team and do what we do best. Go Mavs. “

Davis leads to the organization after it traded one of its most beloved players.

This will be Davis’ third team in his career, which he has played for since he was drafted by New Orleans first gathered in 2012.
