Metro Detroit: Persistent fog to start the day with mild temps that reign

You will have to give yourself a little extra time for your morning commuting; Dense fog pays homage to much of southeastern Michigan.

Visibilities are reduced to less than a quarter kilometer. There was a close fog -advice for SE Michigan, but it expired at 04:00 still, the fog persists and is close enough to guarantee the same fog -advice to extend until 10 pm. 10 to our vest. Caution all around.

Milder temperatures today with heights in the 40s instead of seasonal values. Our average readings should be around freezing for the daytime, but we get back to reality tomorrow, as colder air filters back in the region. Heights Tuesday reflects: 32 degrees.

A Rain-Snow blend is getting into our north today. Saginaw, Flint and Bay City receive snow and freeze rain. There is a chance of light snow to develop near Port Huron, but our next organized system will be Wednesday. Rain and snow are expected to mid -week with temperatures that settle around freezing.
