Snow in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows closes schools, causing power cuts

Students in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows had a snow day on Monday, February 3rd, while other residents had to handle power cuts.

First thing Monday morning, SD42 announced that schools would be closed due to snow and the bad conditions of the sidewalks of the roads that pose a security risk of pedestrians.

All schools were closed, including all district trading programs, all programs for the Riverside Center, including continuing education and Ridge Meadows College.

Meanwhile, the staff at BC Hydro employed a number of power cuts in the region.
