Trae Young Sinks Wild Game winner to lift hawks past stamps

Trae Young somehow caused his game winner to fall on Monday night.

The Atlanta Hawks star led his team to a 132-130 victory over Detroit Pistons thanks to a ridiculous shot over Malik Beasley just before the sum that completely dampened Detroit’s Little Caesar Arena.

Young, with only a few seconds on the clock, tried to take a step past Beasley at the top of the key. He suddenly stepped back and threw up a rainbow shot that hardly got past Beasley’s outstretched hand as he lost his balance and crashed to court.

It was nothing but Netto. Just see:

Hawks had led with as many as 12 points in the fourth quarter before Pistons gathered down the stretch. Cade Cunningham then hit a short bucket with only fewer than 30 seconds left to tie up the game, which put Young’s game winner from just inside the arch.

Cunningham led the stamps with 30 points and 14 assists in the loss for Detroit, which dropped them to 25-25. He shot 1-of-6 behind the arch. Tobias Harris added 22 points for Detroit, and Beasley ended with 18 points from the bench.

Young finished the night with 34 points and nine assists while shooting 9-of-16 off the field. He went into the night an average of 22.8 points, which is his worst output since his rookie season, and a league-high 11.5 assists per day. Match this season. De’Anre Hunter added 20 points on Monday night, and Dyson Daniels ended with 19 points. Hawks moved to 23-27 on the season with the victory, which broke an eight-match losing shit.

Hawks are back in action Wednesday night when they host Victor Wembanyama and San Antonio Spurs.
