Pedro Pascal leads Marvel -Team into MCU

Marvel has revealed the first trailer to “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”

The film plays Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”) as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (“Napoleon”) as the invisible woman, Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things) as the human torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (” Bear “) as the thing. The role crew also includes Ralph Ineson such as Galactus, Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne and John Malkovich.

The trailer gives a glimpse of each of the heroes’ lives before and after they got their powers along with a sneak peek of villain galactus. But most of all, it emphasizes the importance of the amazing four as a unity: “Whatever life throws at us, we face it together – as a family,” says Kirby in the clip.

The first family itself was ready to present the trailer during a special launch event where the Moss-Bachrach led the crowd in a “It’s rocky time!” Chant and Pascal share what is part of MCU means to him. “I haven’t had an experience in a role crew as intimate as this, where it felt like a family,” he said. “The anxiety I felt I said goodbye to them every day and wondered, ‘When will I see them next?’ … We put our hearts and souls and bodies in this thing. ”

This version of The Fantastic Four takes place in a retro-futuristic Manhattan of the 1960s. Feige confirmed on “The Official Marvel Podcast” that the film will be a period of time set in New York City, though he said it may not be the same New York City fans familiar with in MCU.

Two previous iterations of the fantastic four hit the big screen throughout the 20th century Fox before Disney acquired the company and worked against bringing Marvel’s first family to MCU. In the 2000s, Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chikli played the hero of two films, then a disastrous restart 2015 brought in Miles Teller, Kata Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell. Through a smart como role in “Deadpool & Wolverine”, Evans, now better known as MCU’s Captain America, repeated his human torch role before being killed brutally. In “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” John Krasinski’s card appeared that loses Fantastic before meeting a similar fate.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is directed by Matt Shakman (“Wandavision”) and written by a Peter Cameron, Josh Friedman and Jeff Kaplan. Kevin Feige will act as a producer, Jess Hall is the kinematographer and Michael Giacchino composes the scoring.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will be released in theaters on July 25.
