Winter Weather Advisory issued to Northern Central Missouri: ICY Roads Expected until 1 p.m. 18 Wednesday

Kansas City, Mo – Advice has been issued in winter weather for parts of northern central and northeastern Missouri, as freezing rain is expected overnight until Wednesday. Is collections of up to one tenth of an inch could create dangerous travel conditions.

According to National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasure Hill, the advice will remain in force from 1 p.m. 3 to 6pm Wednesday. Areas including Kirksville, Chillicothe, Moberly and Trenton could experience slippery roads, especially in the morning and evening commuters.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and be careful while driving. Power breaks can also be possible due to Isaccumulation on trees and power lines.
