Lawrence, can. And The complete Kansas Football Plan 2025 was announced on Tuesday by the BIG 12 conference, and it contains seven home matches on the reinstated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and four conference weight.

During the fifth year’s main coach Lance LeipoldKansas’ seven home matches for 2025 include five BIG 12 conference matches against West Virginia (September 20), Cincinnati (September 27), Kansas State (October 25), Oklahoma State (November 1) and Utah (Nov.

Jayhawks starts their 2025 -time plan in week 0 against Fresno State on August 23, in what will be the first game played on the reopened David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. Kansas ‘season opener will be the first game in week 0, and it will be Jayhawks’ earliest season opener in the program history.

After opening the season against Fresno State, Jayhawks will host the FCS program Wagner on Friday, August 29. Matchup with Wagner will be the first between the two programs.

Kansas will then reign one of college -football’s oldest rivalries when Jayhawks travel to Columbia, Missouri to take on Missouri on September 6th. The rivalry has been played 120 times back to 1891, which is tied to 10Th-Most played rivalry in all college -football. The meeting will be the first since 2011 and the first to be played on both campus since 2006.




After an open week, Jayhawk’s BIG 12 conference game with back-to-back games opens at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium as Jayhawks hosted West Virginia on September 20 and Cincinnati on September 27.


After the two-game home, Kansas will go on the road for the first time in conference games, and travel to Orlando to take UCF on October 4th. The game at UCF will be the second meeting all the time between the two programs, although it will be Kansas’ first trip to FBC MortGage Stadium.


Kansas then travels to Lubbock, Texas to take on Texas Tech Red Raiders on October 11, before one week eight open week.


2025 Dillon’s Sunflower Showdown between Kansas and Kansas State takes place on October 25 inside David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, in what will be 123Rd Meeting between the two teams. Kansas has the all-time series advantage of 65-52-5, including a 37-23-2-series lead in games played in Lawrence.


In week 10, Jayhawks host Oklahoma State on November 1st. Kansas and Oklahoma State have played 74 times over the story, with Jayhawks won the last matchup in Lawrence, 37-16 on November 5, 2022 to demand bowl eligibility.


On November 8, Kansas travels to Tucson, Arizona for the first time since 1966, when Jayhawks undertake wildcats inside Arizona Stadium. The two teams have met six times over the history of the series, all of which took place in a 30-year period from 1936 to 1966. Kansas owns the series’ advantage over Arizona at 3-2-1, including a 3-1 benefit in Tucson.


Jayhawks will end their Big 12 Conference Away form on November 22 when Kansas visits Iowa State at Jack Trice Stadium. Kansas and Iowa State have met 104 times in the series history, where Kansas won each of the last three meetings. The two teams met at the end of Ames in 2023, resulting in an exciting 28-21 victory for Jayhawks.


Kansas closes his regular season 2025 by hosting Utah on Friday, November 28 or Saturday, November 29 at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. It will be the first meeting between the two teams as members of the BIG 12 conference, while Kansas and Utah last met in 1996.


Kansas Football enters Leipold’s fifth season in Lawrence with a talented list led by senior quarterback Jalon Daniels. Daniels started all 12 games for Jayhawks last season and ended strongly, led the team to win in three of his last four games, including three straight wins over ranked opponents.
