Canucks’ Quinn Hughes Misses the Game Due to not revealed Damage

Vancouver, British Columbia – Star Defense Quinn Hughes sat out of Vancouver Canucks’ game on Sunday night against Detroit Red Wings after maintaining a non -revealed injury two days earlier in a loss in Dallas.

The reigning winner of Norris Trophy as NHL’s top defender, Hughes participated in the pregame warming, but spent extended times talking to the coaches on the bench and left the ice early. He was then scratched from the lineup.

“He wanted to go it out. But not the smartest game to play him,” coach Rick Tocchet said after Canucks’ 3-2 overtime losses. “He wants to play every game, that guy. Then 48 hours (before our next game), we’ll see how he’s doing.”

Late in the game in Dallas, Hughes Evgenii Dadonov hit and continued to play before heading towards the dressing room. He returned to a Vancouver power game, but seemed to be the work and in discomfort on the bench.

Derek Poor took Hughes’ place together with Filip Hronek on Vancouver’s top defensive mating. Hughes has 14 goals and 45 assists in 47 games this season to lead Canucks in the scoring.
