Incredible photo shows that the US Navy uses laser weapons called ‘Helios’ from warship

A jaw-dropping new photo shows the US Navy firing by a drone-destroying laser weapon-weapon Helios-from one of its warships.

The undated image that was published in US Center for CounterMeasures’ Annual Report This month, the war match caught the laser technology of the war that was fired from the USS Preble Destroyer in the middle of the sea.

The demo was “to verify and validate Hel’s functionality, performance and capacity with integrated optical blinding and monitoring system against an unmanned air vehicle,” the report states.

The report did not stop providing specific details of the test – including where or when laser weapons were fired.

Helios weapons, which use a 60 kW laser with high energy that can engage targets at the speed of light, is an advanced directed energy system developed for the United States by Lockheed Martin.

It wipes out target-inclusive drones, quickly attacked craftsmanship and missiles-by to melt or overheat them.

In addition to being used as a destructive laser, weapons can act as an optical dazzler in an attempt to interfere with intelligence and reconnaissance sensors.

The United Kingdom successfully tested Its own high-powered laser weapon-cold Dragonfire-in-back air target last year.

Incredible images from this test also showed the laser shooting a goal in a fiery ball.
