‘Patriotism on steroids,’ SD leaders invite President Trump to Rushmore Fireworks

Rapid City, SD (Kota) – Governor Larry Rhod has called on President Trump to celebrate America’s 250 -year birthday under Mount Rushmore next year.

Rhoden, in its letterexpressed optimism to work with President Trump’s Taskforce to celebrate the 250 -year birthday of America. He had similar positive words for the former North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who is now leading the Interior Department.

The rhoden, who was on stage with President Trump during the celebration of 2020, says he trusts the president will make the celebration happen.

Last week, congressman Dusty Johnson invited President Trump hosts a fireworks party or similar display during his tenure.

“Donald Trump loves fireworks at Mount Rushmore, and I talked to him in the long run when he was out here the last time we did,” Johnson said.

Johnson told Kota Territory News this weekend that such a party may not be coming as soon as this year.

“It requires a lot of preparation, a lot of planning and of course we will make sure that if it is a dry year that there are extra, extra precautions. Maybe we can’t do everything we want to do during a dry year, but Mount Rushmore, July 3rd, Fireworks, President of the United States, this is Patriotism on Steroids, I LOVE IT, let’s do it again, “Johnson explained.

Fireworks at Mount Rushmore returned in 2020 under President Trump’s leadership, it was the first such party since 2009 and President Trump participated. Similar parties were rejected during the Biden administration. Former Governor Kristi Noem Lost a fight at the federal court of rejection of a fireworks show -show in 2021.

In the now former governor’s final state of the state address, she stated that the state would move towards such a party in 2026.

Governor Rhoden highlighted these comments in his letter to President Trump.
