Michael Jordan’s son arrested on cocaine possession and resist arrest fees in Florida

Marcus Jordan, son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, was arrested due to drugs and resistance to arrest warrant in Florida after getting his vehicle on train track, according to an arrest warrant.

The 34-year-old resident of Orlando was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. 2 Tuesday in Maitland, after an officer saw a blue Lamborghini SUV that seemed to be stopped on railway tracks, according to the statement. The officer informed Sunrail, the commuter rail system, to warn that there was a vehicle on the tracks and approached the SUV, the statement said.

The officer reported that he smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle and that the driver had blurred speech and “red bloodshot and glassy eyes”, according to the statement.

Police learned that the vehicle allegedly had just fled a traffic stop initiated by Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, according to the statement.

Marcus Jordan allegedly told the officer that he was doing a wrong turn and needed help getting his vehicle from the tracks, according to the statement. There was a passenger in the vehicle according to the statement.

He allegedly told police he had “some drinks” that night, but “repeated he was not above the legal border,” according to the statement.

Orange County Correctional Facility

The officer arrested Marcus Jordan for driving under influence after performing field -accuracy exercises, according to the statement.

A “clear plastic baggie with a white powdery fabric” was found inside the front right pocket of his pants, which eventually tested positively for cocaine, according to the statement.

Marcus Jordan allegedly refused to cooperate when he was asked to enter the patrol vehicle, according to the statement.

He refused to provide respiratory tests in the Orange County DUI Center according to the statement.

Marcus Jordan was issued a quote for driving under influence and accused of possession of cocaine and resisting an officer without violence, according to the statement. He was booked in Orange County Prison without incident.

He did not answer journalists’ questions upon his release later Tuesday. Online Court Registrations do not show any Attorney General for him.

Marcus Jordan is one of Michael Jordan’s five children.

He is a former college -basketball player who has played for the University of Central Florida. Affidavit noted its current occupation as an independent.
