SpaceX launches 2 MAXAR EARTH OBSERING SATELLITES TO ORBIT (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

SpaceX launched two earth-image satellites today (February 4), which further builds out of Maxar Technologies’ sharp eye on worldview-leggion constellation.

A Falcon 9 rocket carrying WorldView Legion 5 and 6 satellites lifted from NASAS Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida today at. 18.13 EST (2313 GMT).

Falcon 9’s first phase returned to Earth about eight minutes after launching as planned, touching the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, located next to KSC.

It was the fourth launch and landing for this particular booster, according to one SpaceX Mission Description.

The top scene of the rock, meanwhile, the two satellites led to circuits. It implements WorldView Legion 5 approx. 49 minutes after the launch and WorldView Legion 6 approximately One hour after that As planned.

“The launch of these two satellites ends the first block of Maxar’s next generation’s worldview legion satellites,” said Maxar representatives in A prior statement.

“It will also be an important milestone in Maxar’s efforts to increase its very high 30-cm-class satellite image implementation capacity, which strengthens its ability to support customer needs for almost real-time insight,” they added.

As the description notes, the WorldView Legion space vessel is able to solve functions as small as 30 inches (30 centimeters) on the earth’s surface. SpaceX also launched the first four members of the constellation to send WorldView Legion 1 and 2 up in May 2024 and Ceilings WorldView Legion 3 and 4 in August of that year.

WorldSyn Legion 5 and 6 launches were SpaceX’s second on the day. Elon Musk’s company Lofte also a batch of its Starlink -Internet -Stellites early this morning.
