Celtics takes first place Cavaliers 112-105

World Champion Boston Celtics traveled to first place Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday night in a large eastern conference showdown. Both teams scored well during the season average all night, and it was Boston’s bench that finally helped drive them to victory 112-105. Boston now moves to 36 wins and has a 2-1 benefit in the season series.

Boston started the game very slowly and went 1-9 off the field. Celtics would not score another basket until a Jaylen Brown-Back Bag Tip at the 8-minute brand of the match. Brown would only be Celtics scores with seven equal points to lead the C’s early.

Payton Pritchard then hit his first triple of the game from the bench and just became Celtic’s second scorer. Mitchell then hit a few baskets to get Cavaliers going. Big Man Al Horford would end the quarter of Boston with a blistering 8 points in just 6 and a half minutes when Boston finished the quarter 29-15.

Boston’s shot finally came around the start of the second quarter as Sam Hauser and Jayson Tatum hit their first triple of the match.

Boston’s big men were relentless to start the match that generated lots of second chance points with eight offensive rebounds. Veteran Al Horford’s tenth point of the match on a setback would see the road team up 40-23 with plenty of time to go in the second quarter.

Kristaps Porzingis started the second half strong for Boston with 5 quick points and a marketing assistant for Jayson Tatum. Porzingis would later hit a turnaround jumper for his 11th point at night when Boston held the lead in double at 11 points, 66-55. Jaylen Brown had to sit with his fourth evil at night when he was called to a third offensive. Celtics Wing then received a technical error from Scott Foster as he went to the bench.

In a frustrating stretch, Boston would see that the lead fell to 6 points when the home crowd began to give Cavs. Jarrett Allen had himself a game for Cleveland when the former Brooklyn Net had 16 rebounds and 14 points for Cleveland with a full quarter to go. All-Star-Guard Darius Garland, who came under Jaylen Brown’s skin drawing 2 offensive violations, also scored dynamic way as he had 17 points after three quarters.

Porzingis continued to score for Boston with a high one -handed thump, all Horford would hit an open corner triple, and Jayson Tatum capitalized on a high quick break dunk after a brilliant steal from Payton Pritchard.
