Cannon and Ritchie ‘TJ’ Rays met when both worked part -time at Kqid Alexandria LA in 1991 and would eventually be merged in the morning. They moved to Wzyp Huntsville Al in 1995 before they arrived in “Kiss 95.1“WNK’s Charlotte in 1998. The show has been a constant in the Charlotte market since despite moves to”Channel 96.1“Whqc in 2012, back to WNKS to run from 1 p.m. 9 to 12 in July 2022, and to Beasley Classic Hits ”K104.7“WKQC in May 2024. After Cannon’s sudden departure in September, launched as” TJ & Riggins “with producer Bryan ‘Riggins’ Weber Rising to host beams, but they immediately lost WKQC as attached.

He reappeared in October that he underwent a divorce and “took this time to work on myself and create a better space for myself and my future.”

Cannon is survived by his sons Cade and Dax, his wide Amanda, his ex-wife Shonnette and sister Piper. His daughter Payton died in a car accident In 2020.
