While the 25-year-old international superstar said he is still treating the big move, he is also grateful for the opportunity.

For those who have been aware, Doncic and Dallas Mavericks formed a growing rivalry with La Clippers in recent years. Clippers won for the first two matchups in 2020 and 2021, while Mavs prevailed and made it all the way to the NBA final last spring.

That’s why it’s the must-see basketball to add Doncic to Clippers’ Crosstown rivals.

While Lakers is scheduled to take on Clippers at their new arena on Tuesday night, Doncic is not expected to make his debut as he continues to recover from a calf injury.

Doncic explained that this is the first time in his career that he has allowed himself to recover fully after an injury.

“For the first time I took my time, other times I would just get back on the field. This time I took the time to get back to 100%,” Doncic said.

“We have 5-to-5 planned tomorrow and we will take it one day at a time to make sure the calf damage is a good and safe place,” added Laker’s General Manager, Rob Pelinka.

Currently, Doncic is considered day to day.
