Capitals vs. Panthers Recap: Caps Scratch Cats for 6-3 win

Did Alex Ovechkin scored? ON. THE. Summer.

Plus: Caps got contributions from all over Lineup tonight, but it was really the “third” and “fourth” lines that ran this victory – and it’s usually the guys who will make the difference when two top teams collide. Strong games around, but Andrew Mangiapane and Lars or became especially noticeable out there in a fantastic way.

Minus: The hoods had a hard time hanging on a lead early in this one, as Panthers turned out to be as resistant as they are often and continued to tie the game.

Our three stars:
*** Aliaksei Protas (1G, 1A)
** Andrew Mangiapane (1G, 1A)
