Arizona’s violation was elite. Wildcats turned out to be particularly potent in Provo and shoots 49.2% from the field, 38.1% from the range of 3-point and 88.2% from the free throwing line.

When your opponent shoots like Prime Steph Curry in your own gym, winner becomes almost impossible.

Conversely, BYU shot 41.8%, 29.4% and 57.1% in the same such categories, including one about 3 for 16 from deep in the second half and did only two of its last 12 field target attempts.

Cougars couldn’t keep up with the rebounding. A pretty solid team on the boards this season, Byu was finally bullied against Arizona.

Wildcats grabbed 45 rebounds to Cougars ’30 – the biggest such difference in the season for Kevin Young’s team.

In addition, Arizona scored 42 points in the paint, where Byu struggled to defend himself low.

Dallin Hall seems to have got his groove back. While the JuniorPoint Guard has been somewhat quiet this season as he adapts to his new role coming out of the bench, Hall saw every bit of the difference he has been for Cougars in the past.

He scored 11 points on 5 out of 10 shoots with four rebounds, six assists and just a single revenue. More importantly, Hall played much more confident – an area that apparently lacked in recent excursions.

Although Byu came short against Wildcats, whose Hall can build its Tuesday effort, Cougars will have another skilled weapon in their arsenal down the stretch.
