Kawhi Leonard’s blunt statement after Clippers’ Blowout -tab to Lakers

With Thursday’s trade deadline threatening to the nearest distance, La Clippers continues to slip and are in a vulnerable position. After taking a terrible loss to Toronto Raptors on Sunday, they fell to their Crosstown rival, La Lakers on Tuesday.

Clippers were beaten by Lakers at home and lost 122-97 behind 26 points from superstar LeBron James.

Clippers Star Duo by James Harden and Kawhi Leonard combined only 18 points on 6-23 shooting from the field and 1-7 from Deep, as La put together a written performance. Kawhi talked about Clippers’ fight after the loss and fell a tough, truthful statement.

“We have to see ourselves in the mirror first … Do our job,” Leonard said.

Leonard missed the first 34 games of the season due to injury and has ramped back to normal since. The superstar tip remains on a minute limit and has not yet played 30+ minutes in his 12 games back on the field.

“You don’t see the consistent minutes you saw at the beginning of the year, especially with me, still on a minute limit, it’s a little difficult for Ty Lue to find the lineups that work,” Leonard said. “I feel like our second team has to get better. The start of the second quarter, it has been like that when I have been back.”

Leonard and Clippers certainly have to get better forward, especially with the huge list of lists that their rivals as Lakers make before the deadline. Lakers just beat Clippers with 25 points and the new LA superstar Luka Doncic doesn’t even fit up. Clippers were hit by a hard reality check on Tuesday, and it’s definitely time for them to wake up.
