Detroit -As Thursday’s NBA trading deadline is approaching, the Detroit stamps have begun to make movements.

The stamps agree to acquire Frem Kenyon Martin Jr. From the Philadelphia 76ers, a league source with knowledge of the deal confirmed to Detroit News on Wednesday. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement has not been completed.

The stamps also get a few choices of the second round to take on Martin’s salary of $ 8 million this season; Martin’s $ 8 million salary for next season is not guaranteed.

Sixers seeks to unload wages to get under NBA’s apron of luxury tax, and the two draft elections that Pistons will receive-Milwaukee Bucks ‘2027 Second Round Pick and Dallas Mavericks’ 2031 Second Round Elections Incitaments To Take On The salary.

The stamps have about $ 14 million in Cap space – they are the only team with Cap space at the deadline – and if they use it in other offers before adding Martin, they could also use it in the middle of $ 8 million to take Martin’s salary.

There may be additional features – including moving Martin again – before Thursday’s trading deadline.

Martin, a 6-foot-6 in his fifth year, has played the last two seasons with the 76s, an average of 4.5 points and 2.4 rebounds over 82 games. He started his career with Houston Rockets as another round of election in 2020 NBA draft. Martin’s best season took place during Rockets’ 2022-23 campaign, where he average career heights of 12.7 points of 56.9% shooting and 5.5 rebounds over 82 matches.

Martin is the son of the former NBA All-Star Kenyon Martin Sr.

Keith Pompey from Philadelphia Inquirer was the first to break the news.
