The first round of action in Rotterdam will wrap on Wednesday when the Tallon Green Expoor faces Matteo Berrettini in front of the home crowd. In the second round, Hubert Hurkacz goes up against Jiri Lehecka.

Matteo Berrettini against Tallon Green Expoor

There is no doubt that the ABN Amro Open is GreiExpoor’s favorite tournament on tour. The 43rd-ranked Dutchman has benefited from the home-ground advantage to the tune of the back-to-back semi-final show in 2023 and 2024 and lost only to Jannik Sinner on both occasions. GrieExpoor is a fantastic indoor Hard-Court player in general with 68 such wins throughout his career.

First up for the 28-year-old on Wednesday is Berrettini, which he has never faced. The 33rd-ranked Italian is starting a slow 1-2 start this season and he has never been big indoors with a 36-29 record. Berrettini is certainly dangerous on any surface, but a slower court gives him time to hit his inconsistent backhand much more effectively. GrieExpoor should be able to exploit this weakness in faster conditions and continue its winning ways in Rotterdam.

Jiri Lehecka vs. (8) Hubert Hurkacz

Hurkacz and Lehecka go head-to-head for the second time in their careers when they meet in the second round on Wednesday. Their only previous meeting came at this same Rotterdam event 12 months ago, with Hurkacz surviving a 6-3, 6-7 (9), 7-6 (9) thriller.

Another fun must be in the cards. Hurkacz is very good indoor and everywhere-and opened with a 6-3, 6-2 rut of Flavio Cobolli on Monday. Lehecka already owns 52 indoor match winner in the relatively early stages of his career, and he dismissed Alexei Popyrin 7-5, 6-2 on Tuesday. The 24th Ranked Czech is a big step up in competition for Hurkacz as Cobolli is less than 100 percent physical at the moment and has fought berry time in 2025. Don’t be surprised if Lehecka is pulling a minor rebellion to revenge last year loss.
