Beyoncé’s latest tour skiping over Motor City

The trip includes seven US cities, but no local stop.

Detroit fans, hoping to celebrate Beyoncé’s album of this year’s win with the Superstar singer, will have to hit the way to do so: Motor City did not cut the upcoming cowboy Carter and Rodeo Chitlin ‘Circuit Tour.

Tour plans were announced over the weekend, and dates and venues on the nine city tour were released Monday, with Chicago closest to Detroit. The trip strikes Soldier Field 15 and 17 May.

Other US cities on the trip are Los Angeles (April 28, May 1, May 4 and May 7), New York (May 22, May 24, May 25, and 28), Houston (28.- June 29), Washington, DC (July 7) and Atlanta (July 10-11). Las Vegas was included on a tour poster, but these dates were not included in the rollout. London (June 5, June 7, June 10 and June 12) and Paris (June 19, June 21) are also included.

Beyoncé’s last tour went to Detroit when she played Ford Field in July 2023 on her Renaissance World Tour. It was a bigger routing, with 24 announced American stops, to “Cowboy Carter’s” Seven.

Beyoncé’s other big solo tours have all included local dates, though her first on the Run Tour, her co-headlining trek with her husband Jay-Z, jumped over Detroit. She compensated for it by playing Ford Field on the tour’s follow -up, on Run II, in August 2018.

At Sunday’s Grammy Awards, Beyoncé won three statues, including this year’s album for “Cowboy Carter”, her first win ever in the category. “Cowboy Carter” was also awarded the best land album, and “II MOST WANTED”, her duet with Miley Cyrus, won the best Landduo/ Group performance.

The three wins expanded her record as Grammys’ most assigned artist, with 35 total victories under her belt.
