Gelérulle named 1. ‘American Idol’ artist in residence

Jelly Roll is on his way to “American Idol” as the show’s first artist in residence.

In his new capacity, “Save Me” the hitmaker will be a “permanent fixture this season” that works closely with this year’s “American Idol” hopeful to give “first -hand advice on how to navigate the journey,” according to a representative of ABC .

He is ready to step into his role in the Hollywood week.

This will not be the singer’s first time on the show. He previously appeared as an artist and guest mentor on the show’s 22nd season.

In a video that announced the new role on Tuesday, “American Idol” shared a video of the singer celebrating the title. In the clip he grabbed “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest and spun him around the air.

“You form the future of America,” Seacrest told Jelly Roll.

“I want to give them the energy they need, I lift and try to get them started,” replied Jelly Roll.

In a caption, Jelly Roll repeated his enthusiasm for the new role and explained that he will “mentor” the participants. “Had to lift @ryansacrest, just as I have to lift @americanidol-hopeful! Changed to be Idol’s first artist in residence-with heart, soul and real experience!” wrote gel roll.

Jelly Roll won’t be the only country superstar on the show this season. Participation in him at the show is judges Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood as well as Lionel Richie.

Season 23 of American Idol premieres March 9 at. 20 one at ABC and Streams the next day at Hulu. A special preview of the season will be released after Oscars on March 2 on ABC and stream the next day at Hulu.
