Original Black Sabbath, Metallica for Reunion for ‘Greatest Metal Show’

Black Sabbath’s original lineup is set to reunite to its last show during an upcoming benefit concert with Metallica.

Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward are planning to perform together for the first time in 20 years during the back to the Study Benefit Concert, in the band’s hometown of Birmingham, England, July 5.

“It’s my time to return to the beginning …. Time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Osbourne wrote at the band’s Instagram. “How blessed is I to do it with the help of people that I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. “

Osbourne is ready to perform a short solo set before joining his former bandmates.

The event will raise money for Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice and will include performances from Bay Area Metal Legends Metallica, French Groove Metal Group Gojira and Seattle Rockers Alice in chains, among others.

Ticket sale starts at. 02:00 on February 11, and the general sale begins at 1 p.m. 2 on February 14th.

Smashing pumpkins -singer Billy Corgan, disturbed frontman David Daiman, Duff McKagan and Slash of Guns N ‘Roses and Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine are among those invoiced to make special performances at the event.

Morello will also serve as music director and noticed in the post that “This will be the biggest Heavy Metal Show ever.”

Black Sabbath was formed in Birmingham in 1968 and has sold more than 75 million albums globally throughout his career and cemented himself as a heavy metal staple.
