Handicapping the Bruins (32-21 SU, 25-28 ATS, 21-28-4 O/U)

Jeremy Swayman earned his third shutout of the season on Tuesday when Boston Bruins defeated Minnesota Wild 3-0 at home. Bruins will now go to New York for a new match against Rangers after doubling them 6-3 Saturday in Boston.

Joonas Corpisalo is likely to start Wednesday, considering the Swayman playing the first half of the back-to-back. While Corpisalo has been solid for Boston this season, which earns three sugar hangers of its own, Bruins is much stronger with Swayman in the net. Swayman has not had his best season, but since November 15, he has saved Bruin’s 4.51 goals above expected, while Corpisalo has sent a -0.74 mark in this category.

Boston has won two in a row and seven of 11 games since losing six just between 31 December and 9th of January. However, during the last month, Bruins ranks 28. In shooting trial percentage and 30. In the expected target percentage with even strength. Offensively, they have been among the league’s top team since January 5, which ranks sixth in goals per year. 60 minutes, but they also rank among the five bottom in terms of per year. 60 in all situations.

David Pastrnak has carried the team and seems to be expanding his score to 12 games Wednesday in New York. He recorded three goals and an assist in Saturday’s win over Rangers, which was surprisingly just his fourth multi-goal match of the season.

Pastrnak leads the NHL in goal (17) and points (38) since December 13, but with Charlie McAvoy back in the lineup and Hampus Lindholm are approaching.

Handicapping the Rangers (37-17 SU, 30-24 ATS, 25-26-3 rpm)

New York has been gone since Sunday, so Rangers has a two-day residual advantage in Wednesday’s Matchup against Bruins. In addition, though Igor Shesterkin Allowed five goals of 24 shots in his last excursion versus Boston, he gives Rangers a large edge in the crisis.

Through the lens of traditional statistics such as savings percentage, goals against average and winner, Shesterkin does not look like he has had a fantastic season, but according to developing Hockey’s expected goal model he has. Shesterkin ranks the third in goal stored above, expected behind Connor Hellebuyck and Logan Thompson.

That said, Shesterkin has gone 4-8 with a .900 savings percentage and a 3.00 goal against average against Bruins in his career. Shesterkin has lost five of his last six games against Boston back to April 23, 2022.

Like Bruins, Rangers has also ranked among the top-10 offensive teams over the past month, but they have been a little better and classified as the third best team in goal per year. 60 minutes. Although Boston has been terribly defensively, rangers have at least been average and ranks 16 in goal against 60.

While New York has done a better job of controlling the game recently, it is not enough for me to consider betting them to win this game as a big monetary setting.

Best effort for Bruin’s vs. Rangers

  • Vincent trocheck over 2.5 shots on target (+130) by sports interaction

Vincent Trocheck has registered three or more shots in 11 of his last 18 games, including four of his last six. The 31-year-old tried seven shots in Saturday’s loss to Bruins and ended with three shots on goal. He does not try as many shots as team leader Artemi Panarin, who has 137 shooting attempts since December 28, but he has registered 51 shots on target, only two fewer than Panarin, despite trying 45 fewer shots.
