Notes:

  • Overall, Arkansas and Texas have met 155 previous apartments. The only other program HOGS has played more is Texas A&M at 169 meetings thanks to Agggies joining SEC for the 2012-13 season (12 years).
  • Arkansas leads the series at all times against Texas, 87-68, but Longhorns lead 43-27 in play played in Austin.
  • Texas won the last meeting and has won five of the last seven. However, Arkansas has won 32 of the last 47 back to the 1974-75 season.
  • The programs have only met six times since Arkansas left the Southwest conference after the 1990-91 season. The last meeting between the programs was the season opener 2018-19 at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, for ESPN Armed Forces Classic. Texas won 73-71 in overtime.
  • Technically, this is the first time Arkansas and Texas met on the hardwood since the season opener 2018-19, when the programs faced in ESPN Armed Forces Classic in El Paso. However, on October 29, 2022, the teams met in a charity exhibition to play the first public event in the short story of the Moody Center. Arkansas was Forsy season # 10 and Texas was for season # 12 on the way into the exhibition game. Texas won the exhibition, 90-60. Longhorns scored first, led from thread-to-thread, and outscored Hogs 25-5 to start the second half to put the game out of reach. Arkansas then contained beginner and current NBA veterans Anthony Black, Jordan Walsh and Nick Smith Jr. As well as NBA VET Ricky Council IV. Current Hog Trevon Brazile started that game (played 14:38 and scored three points with a rebound) and Walkon Lawson Blake played the last three minutes.
  • In each of the last four matches, Arkansas has been excellent with defending the 3-point arch in the second half. These endeavors led to a few Razorback winner and two strong second halves that gave Arkansas a chance to win. In the last four matches, opponents of Arkansas are 5-of-29 (17.2%) from 3pt in 2nd half.
  • Arkansas has shown improvements on the free throw line of late. Arkansas was 71.1 % (170-239) in the first 14 matches on the line. Over the last seven matches, Arkansas is 75.3% (110-146) in the last seven games on the line.
