Brandon Ingram has been traded from New Orleans Pelicans to Toronto Raptors, according to Espns Shams Charania.

On the other hand, Pelicans Bruce Brown Jr., Kelly Olynyk, receive a first round of picking and another round pick.

Ingram, 27, has not played since December 7 when he sprained his ankle against Oklahoma City Thunder. Prior to that, he had just returned after a six-game absence due to foot tendinitis. Ingram hopes to be ready to play for the next two weeks.

The nine-year-old veteran is in the last year of his contract and pays him $ 36 million and can be an unlimited free agent after the season. Last summer he was eligible for a four -year maximum contract of $ 208 million that the Pelicans were unwilling to offer. It has made Ingram a trading candidate ever since, but no team has shown interest in signing him for a maximum expansion.

Ingram was Pelicans’ second-leading goal scorer this season, an average of 22.1 points (shooting 37% on 3-Pointer) with 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 18 games. These numbers match his six seasons in New Orleans, where he average 23 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 37% in 3s.

In nine seasons, Ingram has an average of 19.5 points, while shooting 36% in 3s, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists. He was the total overall choice in 2016 NBA Draft By Los Angeles Lakers after a season at Duke.

Toronto has sought another goal scorer for Team with Scottie Barnes (who accepted a five-year Max extension last June), Gradey Dick and possibly one of the best players available in the 2025 NBA draft. Signing Ingram for his own expansion probably means that Raptors will let Chris Boucher go in free agency and could also try to trade Jacob Poeltl and RJ Barrett before drafting.

In Brown, the Pelicans get some of a Power Forwards skills in a guard’s frame, with strong defensive versatility and rebounding plus a good playmaking on offense. He got his season started late due to a knee injury that made his debut in 2024-25 on December 29 against Atlanta Hawks. His numbers have seen a small downturn compared to the last few years, a product of being a bench on a fighting team.

Brown got his payday with Pacers after a single season with Denver Nuggets, where he was a significant part of the first championship team in the franchise story. He started 31 games during the regular season, but came exclusively from the bench during the playoffs and added a lovely stans to Denver’s other units.

Like Brown, Olynyk will join his third team in two seasons. He average 7 points and 3.6 rebounds per Battle in Backup -Told this season.
