Chatgpt facing global power outage, users flooding social media with complaints

New Delhi:

Chatgpt, one of Openai’s most popular artificial intelligence (AI) tools on Thursday faced a global power outage as millions of users were unable to access the service.

Many frustrated users went to social media platform x on Thursday to report that chatgpt did not work for them.

The complaints show that the question is widespread, with reports coming in from different countries.

According to DownDetector, a platform that tracks online interruptions, thousands of users have been affected by the power break.

The site’s data showed a sudden increase in chatgpt operating reports early this morning, and the numbers continue to rise when more people are facing problems.

Some users are struggling to log in, while others say that AI is not responding to commands at all.

The heating card (a technique that uses color to represent data values) on DownDetector confirms that the power break is based on user -submitted complaints.

So far, almost 90 percent of users have reported problems with the chatgpt app, while others are also facing problems on the site.

Openai has not yet shared any official declaration of the cause or extent of the power switch.

Meanwhile, frustrated users are flooded X with positions and memes about the situation.

A user wrote humorously, “Today I lost access to Chatgpt for 20 minutes, and it felt like it was 2015 and Google Search had gone offline for a few hours.”

Another user added “everyone who comes to x to confirm chatgpt down” with a meme.

“Chatgpt down again ??! Surprised not surprised !!!,” said a user.

Another X user chimed in too, “Chatgpt is always down in the middle of performing my task.”

“To look all fools out when chatgpt is down and they have to use their brains we are really doomed,” another user added.

Chatgpt was still down until the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, today’s power outage is not the first time Chatgpt has been subjected to technical problems.

Recently, on January 23, AI Chatbot experienced a similar global disturbance, preventing users from accessing it on both the Internet and the app.

During this outbreak, DownDetector recorded over a thousand user complaints, with many frustrated users going to X to share their concern about the malfunction.
