Schools advertise closures like ice expected in southeastern Michigan

With expected snow, sleet and ice overnight and in the morning, some Metro Detroit districts have announced school closures for Thursday.

Detroit and Dearborn Public Schools were among the districts to prevent them from being closed on Thursday, with more expected to follow. Meanwhile, Oakland University and the Oakland Community College College College until noon Thursday.

A winter weather counseling was in effect for Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne counties through. Until an unspecified time Thursday morning.
