A lucky shopper in the Upper West Side has defied the odds, won the second prize in Tuesday’s Mega Million Lottery and taken a cool $ 1 million. The winning ticket was sold on the appropriate name Lucky Corner, a convenience store located on 200 West 96th Street, where you can buy everything from newspapers to breakfast sandwiches to apparent million dollar lottery tickets.

This is not the first time that Upper West Side, or even Lucky Corner, has hosted a lottery. The store sold a powerball ticket to a value of $ 50,000 back in August 2024. In July 2023, the neighborhood saw another second place in second place, this time sold at Millennium Smoke and News on 2345 Broadway (between 85 and 86th streets). And in November 2021, three winning lottery tickets were sold at Lucky Choice Convenience at 118 West 72nd Street. That web each winner at a total of $ 2.76 million before tax. It’s the full $ 8.3 million jackpot, split three ways.

So how lucky is this winner? The winning numbers for the Mega Millions game are drawn from a field of one to 70, with the mega ball drawn from a separate range from one to 25. So does Oddsen to win second place 1 to 12,607,306. It’s not as lucky as a first prize winner who needs to beat odds of 1 out of 302,575,350, but it’s still much luckier than Lucky Corner. Unfortunately for them, while stores that sell the winning lottery ticket get a big bonus guarantees another place.

There are no details about the winner’s identity yet, so it’s not clear whether it’s an Upper West Sites or just someone who just felt lucky as he passed through. But if you see sprayed expenses in the area in the near future, it may be your clue.

The MEGA Millions drawing is the television every Tuesday and Friday at. 23
