Virat Kohli was not elected to 1st. ODI VS England. Rohit Sharma says, “Last night …”

Virat Kohli has not been selected for the first India vs England ODI Thursday. Odi is one of the only three matches that India plays ahead of Champions Trophy 2025, starting on February 19, and Kohli, who is missing the game, comes as a big blow to Rohit Sharma-led team. Already the team has dealt with the damage of Jasprit Bumrah with his particular availability. KoldeP Yadav and Mohammed Shami also come back after a long break.

India’s Captain Rohit Sharma said at Kastet: “Jaiswal and Harshit debut, unfortunately Virat does not play, he had a knee problem last night.” The visual painted a gloomy image. Videos showed Kohli that went gently with a strongly tense right knee. The extent of the injury is not known, but Gautam Gambhir’s Indian cricket team management clearly does not take a chance.

The 36-year-old presence in the match was very expected, as despite his test matches, there is very little doubt about Virat’s greatness in ODDs. Since the 2023 start, he has made 1,435 races in 30 ODDs an average of 65.22, with six centuries and eight fifties. His best score is 166*. His strike speed is 98.42.

He has the top score during the ICC Cricket World Cup (both tournament and on all time lists) with 765 races in 11 games on average 95.62, with three games and six fifties who won the ‘Player of the Tournament’ prize . During Sri Lanka ODIs last year, he could score only 58 races in three laps with the best score of 24.

India’s Captain Rohit Sharma would have bowlet first by winning the thrown. “We would have bowlet first, but regardless of the throw it is about performing our plans. Now that we are bowling first, we aim to start aggressively and put the tone early. It’s good to be back after a break, it’s time to reflect and focusing again.
