Snow storm tomorrow in Boston. How much have we got so far? – NBC Boston

If you are a fan of the snow this has been your season! And with a parade of winter storms that were still on their way to Boston over the next several days, we decided to look at how the snow totals have stacked up here in Titletown.

So far, Boston’s Logan International Airport has received more than 16 inches measurable snow since December 8, 2024.

That day the city received 0.3 inches of snow. But it was just a starter before Mother Nature delivered our biggest snow in the season so far.

In fact, Friday 20. December 2024, the airport received 5.2 inches of snow! And several communities along the intermediate 95 corridor against the northeast Massachusetts received similar amounts, largely due to sea-generated snow early in the day before the main storm system arrived later in the day.

Crews have been working to prepare roads in front of Thursday’s blizzard.

Our next snow arrived on Christmas Eve of 0.2 inches. But with snow still back on the ground from these two previous events, we technically saw a white Christmas on December 25. National Weather Service recorded 3 inches of snow on Earth on Christmas Day.

2025 has already seen several snow events. In fact, the second largest snow we’ve seen so far for this season, January 19, 2025. Logan Airport checked in at 3.8 inches of snow, followed by 1.2 inches that fell in the morning of January 20 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

For the two-day event, we saw 4-6 inches of snow in the larger Boston area. Areas in Western mass and against Berkshires then more than 7 inches of snow!

From January 29 to February 3, three winter systems produced measurable snow in the Boston area. Our last event on February 3 was the largest during this time frame, with the airport receiving approx. 1.7 ”Snow. Even Cape so measurable snow during this event.

If you are holding tabs from this winter season to last year, we have recorded much more snow this year. In fact, in December 2023, the airport received 0.2 inches of snow. In January we got 9 inches of snow. And in February, Logan received only 0.5 inches.
