Some winter weather starts our Thursday as heaven is done with that

We start our Thursday with some winter weather in a few areas, especially north of James River (but mainly north of I-64). Not plenty of winter weather, but ice cream will be the biggest danger this morning in the areas that see it.

This can lead to some pockets with difficult travel.

The winter weather window is not very long, after approx. 9 or 10 are all over freezing.

I do not see areas along 460 with a large winter weather threat, certainly not Southside.

This afternoon we are holding some showers around.

We are heated pretty quickly. The heights are in the 60s.

Maybe a few lingering showers tonight.

The lichens will be in the 40s.

Friday is a dry day we can see some very early morning showers, but the day is dry.

Saturday gets colder again when the wind changes n and ne.

Showering develops, but the day is not a leaching. Saturday night or Sunday morning the wind changes SW.

We are warmer before Sunday morning.

Sunday morning feels like spring. The soil will be wet thanks to the heat and rising dew points. Then we become windy and colder with falling temperatures as the wind direction changes again.

Monday and Tuesday both will be cold as the wind shift pushes completely over our region and we will have to look for more winter weather potential.
