Liverpool (4) 4-0 (1) Tottenham Hotspur-Carabao Cup result as red thrash spurs to move into final

Liverpool is facing Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final after beating sorry spurs

Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Virgil van Dijk scored the goals when Liverpool Walloped an Insipid Spurs 4-0 on Anfield, which easily overturned one-targeted first leg deficit.

Liverpool immediately seized control of the game, Spurs that allow them to run the midfield. Although they did not create many chances early, it was inevitable that the pressure would eventually tell, and in 34 minutes Gakpo Smart ended after good work from Salah, Jones and Darwin Nunez.

The notion of a Spurs’ improvement was displaced as soon as the second half started, assuming control without resistance.

They moved on to a draw in 51 minutes when Salah creamed a penalty after Antonin Kinsky bought Nunez down, and made it probably 15 minutes from the time when Szoboszlai rounded out a fine step.

Arne Slot’s side even added a satisfactory fourth in 80 minutes when Van Dijk went home from a corner.

So Liverpool goes through to meet Newcastle at Wembley – a match where they will meet exactly the kind of physical study that Spurs shook away from in Merseyside. Where they go from here is less obvious.
