Is Eli Manning a first-ballot Hall of Famer?

It’s not a simple question for Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee. There are 15 finalists in modern times, including Manning, with a limited number of seats available to class 2025.

While his statistics at Quarterback were not flashy, Manning-there was spent his entire NFL career with New York Giants and ended with a 117-117 season record from 2004-2019 known for his durability and reliability.

The Hall of Fame class in 2025 will be revealed under the NFL Honours, a Prime-Time Awards Special, which takes place at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans on Thursday. The class will be enshrined later this year in Canton, Ohio.

Of the 15 finalists in modern times, Manning is one of five first -year candidates that the committee will consider for closure. The others are Luke Kuechly, Terrell Suggs, Adam Vinatieri and Marshal Yanda.

The committee can select up to five players from modern times, and each must receive at least 80% of the votes for elections.

In addition, Maxie Baughan, Sterling Sharpe and Jim Tyrer are finalists in the Seniors category; Mike Holmgren is a finalist in the coach category; And Ralph Hay is a finalist in the contributor category. Voting on these five takes place separately as its own distinct group from the players in modern times. There is no fixed number for any class, but the Hall of Fame’s current selection process of statutes determines that between four and eight new members will be elected.

“It’s an honor to be included,” said Manning, a native from New Orleans, said at “Up & Adams.”

“It’s an honor to be talked about coming to 15, and that’s one of the things you can’t control it, so why worry about it? One way or the other, I don’t lose sleep during this next week. I will enjoy being in New Orleans no matter what.

“It’s just one of the things you don’t have control over it, and it won’t change my influence and my thoughts about the NFL, my thoughts on my playing career.”
