Dominick Cruz out of UFC Seattle because of damage

Dominick Cruz’s return after two years out of action and potential pension match at UFC Seattle is off.

Booked against Rob Font at the Fight Night event later this month, Cruz has been forced to retire from the match due to an injury inflicted during training.

Sources confirmed the unfortunate news to the Cageside Press. The match should have been part of the motherboard at Climate Pant Arena in Seattle, Washington on February 22, 2025.

Cruz (24-4) is several times UFC Bantamweight Master as well as WEC Champ and a future UFC Hall of Famer. His career in the cage has seen years stolen from it due to an injury, including ACL tea rows that led him to give up his belt in 2014. Cruz would win the title back in 2016 and defeat TJ Dillasw, only to lose it Later this year to Cody Garbrandt.
