Klay Thompson Was on its way to a Blitzkrieg start and broke out for 23 points as Dallas Mavericks drew a 67-56 lead against Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Thursday. The 4X NBA champion had a game high before the break when Mavs put the pressure on Celtics early.

Thompson finished his half of 10-13 shooting from the field and 3-5 from the depth along with a rebound and two assists. Dallas had not yet seen their latest acquisition, Anthony Davis fits up, but it was 34-year-old Thompson who did the damage when Post-Luka Doncic Mavericks looked deadly against Boston.
