New Orleans, La-Sterling Sharpe will be heading into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August.

The former Green Bay Packer’s wide recipient was announced as a member of the 2025 Hall of Fame class under NFL Honours Ceremony on Thursday night.

He was the only one of five finalists in the senior category that was introduced.

Former Green Bay Packer’s main coach Mike Holmgren was also ready for induction in the senior category but did not get cut.

“On behalf of the entire Green Bay Packers organization, I would like to congratulate Sterling with his long -over -due elections for Pro Football Hall of Fame. He left an indelible brand as one of the greatest players of his generation, while also contributing directly to the revival of Packers in the 1990s, ”said Packer’s President/CEO Mark Murphy. “We are very fond of Sterling and his family and are eternally grateful for everything he gave and achieved with Packers.”

The induction ceremony is Saturday, August 2nd in Canton, Ohio.

Packers chose him 7. Total in 1988 and won the first-team All-Pro-Hæders three times and made five Pro Bowls in his 7-year career, which was short of a neck injury.

He completed his career with 595 receptions for 8134 yards and 65 touchdowns.

Sharpe ranked number two behind Jerry Rice for receiving yards and receiving TDs by an NFL player in his first seven seasons at the time.

Sharpe is the 29th member of Packers to be selected for Pro Football Hall of Fame.
