Bill Belichick appears on the New Orleans event with girlfriend Jordon Hudson

New Orleans – Prior to the Super Bowl Lix, former Patriots coach Bill Belichick appeared on a local steakhouse on Wednesday.

Belichick, now head coach of the University of North Carolina, mingled with the small group of participants at a dinner organized by his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The free event, officially called “not untouched”, was intended to support the victim’s witnesses of the deadly truck attack that took place early on New Year’s Day on Bourbon Street.

The 24-year-old Hudson said on social media on Tuesday that she organized dinner to raise awareness of the fact that witnesses of traumatic events “do not go away untouched” and “sustain emotional injuries that may be life-changing.”

Wednesday’s event generated a turnout of about 40 people, including some Patriots fans from Massachusetts. Participants were not obliged to have a direct connection to the reason.

When he introduced Belichick to the room, Hudson broke a joke and later held tears back.

“Someone told me he may have won some Super Bowls? And maybe even one here? “She said, referring to New England’s 20-17 win over Rams in the Super Bowl XXXVI.

“I value his support, his partnership and support things that are near and dear to me,” Hudson continued. “Bill is a wonderful example of someone who may not have experienced the same things I have but when I get a clumsy hand because I experience a flashback or some kind of complaint, there is a quiet understanding and a sense of support , that really keeps me rooted through every difficult period.

“Thank you on behalf of people who have experienced traumatic events. I think it just speaks to the depth of your personality. A few people have told me he is also a good coach, I assume. It is a very capacitive essence. Thank you for taking the time out of your incredibly busy schedule to be here and support this case. “

Belichick took photos with participants and signed autographs before the group sat down for dinner. Joining him was former NFL players Ryan Clark and Fred Taylor. Clark and Belichick both appear on CW’s weekly “Inside the NFL” show.

Belichick plans to take part in the game with Hudson on Sunday.
