Bruins should push to avalanche forward

The Boston Bruins is in an exciting place at this time of the season. They currently have a 27-23-6 record and are sixth in the Atlantic Division position. However, they are far from being out of the playoffs as they track third place Ottawa Senators With only two points in the position.

If Bruins continues to fight with consistency as the deadline approaches, it may not be the best course of action. However, targeting players with the long term that would help Bruins beyond this season could be an Avenue worth exploring.

When looking at trade candidates around the NHL, a player that Bruin should seriously consider asking about Colorado Avalanche Center Casey Mittelstadt.

Mittelstadt, 26, has picked up steam in the rumor mill with avalanche. He has had trouble fitting into Colorado’s system so that a change of scenes can be the best call to the player and the team.

Mittelstadt has nine goals and 32 points in 55 games this season with Avalanche. This offense is not bad, but the 2017 election has shown that he can produce far more. In 80 games last season with Buffalo Sabres and Avalanche he had 18 goals and 57 points. He also had a career high 59 points in 82 games with Buffalo in 2022-23.

With this, Mittelstadt has shown that he can be a high quality top-six-center center, which is something that Boston undoubtedly needs right now. In addition, he is just in his prime minister and would be more than one rent as he has a hit of $ 5.75 million until the end of the 2026-27 season.

In the end, Bruins needs help down the middle and more overall skill, so bringing a young man out as Mittelstadt could be excellent for them. In Boston’s lineup he could castle nicely in their top six.
