Charlotte Metro to see 30-degree temperature drop next week

Charlotte, NC (WBTV) – After yesterday’s record -breaking hot temperatures, we are in for a short cooling this afternoon before some more rounds of unusually hot weather trips.

  • The rest of today: Rising clouds, showers late
  • Thursday: Insulated showers, warmer
  • Friday: Clouds and sun, straying shower possible

Winter will make a short comeback this afternoon. Expect to increase clouds for balance today with heights only in the 50s.

Tonight it will be cloudy and cool with some passing showers. Low varies from the 30s in the mountains to the lower 40s over the Charlotte Metro area.

Tomorrow there will be a chance for some isolated to wide scattered showers; Expect high in the top 60s.

A few more disturbances will move through the southeast and increase the chances of more showers for next week. A stray shower will be possible on Friday, otherwise partly cloudy sky expects heights in the lower 70s.

This weekend is still about to be hot with scattered showers at times; Heights on Saturday and Sunday will top in the 60s and 70s.

Much cooler relations can be expected to Monday and Tuesday along with widespread rainfall.
