Good morning! Play a puzzle today.

While you were asleep: A surprise nfl mvp

Josh Allen is finally an MVP. Yes, Vegas had favored him to win, but it was still a historic deviation when Bill’s Signal Caller took out Lamar Jackson-the first team all-pro quarterback-at NFL Honor’s ceremony last night. Quickly:

  • It was the nearest MVP vote since 2016. The group of voters is the same for All-Pro and MVP, but Allen received 27 first places for this award, while Jackson had 23 (also a fourth place?). Hm. Full collapse here.
  • Allen, 28, is the first player since John Elway in 1987 to won MVP without being a first-team all-pro also (excluding CO-MVPs).

Connection: Turn on the timer, the people’s

One of my favorite things to do while making this newsletter is to check our measurements from the day before to see which link got the most clicks. It is a true measure of what you, the reader, is interested in.

Every day, Connections Ranks: Sports Edition in Top Five of Clicks. I love the game, you love the game, we love all the game. The numbers are not lying.

But it almost feels like we’ve had special access because On Sunday, Connections are shared: Sports Edition with a wider audience and available via The athletic appthat comes out of beta mode. I checked in with Mark Cooper creating the boards:

We’ve done 137 puzzles so far. Tell me the best and worst categories you’ve made:

From a marvelous point of view, my favorite may be Red Card/Sox/Wings/Auerbach – when I can combine expressions, teams and names in a category, it allows for some fun “erroneous” in the rest of the board. I have also loved to dip into pop culture – for example, video game games or Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s On First” lineup.

Worst: Once I used “Tie” as a synonym for games (think “FA Cup Tie”), and it didn’t land at all. We leave one out of the archive.

The biggest question as the optional hours are back: Are you pro-Timer?

Full Pro! I think it makes sharing your score so more fun. My dream is that we need a daily leaderboard where players can compete for the fastest time.

Real leaving the timer turned on. Let’s continue to move:

What we eat: These recipes are pulse -certified

We suggested some great swing options for the Super Bowl Eats last Sunday and said we would try a few recipes right next to you this week. All broken successes Among you eat different ages and flavors. Our honest notes:

  • Torrey (Soft pastries and Beer cheese): Make a double batch of the pastries, because if you commit to the slightly scary process, you might as well store the freezer – but it’s easy once you’ve got a few reps. Next time!
  • Branch (Slow Cooker BBQ pulled pork): This was shockingly light and delicious. Season, Sear, Plop in the slow stove, profit. Who knew that Simmering of a pork in Dr. Pepper worked so well? It’s also easy enough where you could definitely get supplies tomorrow to make this Sunday.
  • Sprow (Detroit-style pizza): 10/10 will do it again, probably with a touch of smaller dough, so it’s a little lighter and fork optional out of the pot because the crust is legitimate.

It’s all new -food maping gift link (no subscription is necessary to read) and you can Browse the full Super Bowl collection here. And We have real recipes at the last minute to you – Those you may even already have the ingredients for – this Sunday morning. Stay hungry.

Rick Pitino’s team has been a revelation this season, although huskies may be the toughest test yet. The Red Storm was fantastic in a victory over No. 11 Marquette on Tuesday. I match Pitino vs. Dan Hurley every day.

Do you remember when Detroit was the worst team in the league last season? And the year before that? The stamps already have almost as many wins this season (25) as they did combined in the previous two seasons (31). The victory in total could also have been even higher. (They also acquired Dennis Schröder yesterday.)
