It is with deep sadness that we advertise Mr. Jackie Robinson’s passing away. A celebration of life is held at. 11:00 on Thursday, February 6, 2025 in Glorious Hope Baptist Church, located at 3805 Napier Avenue, Macon, Georgia. Pastor John Herring, Pastor will be official. Interment will immediately follow at Middle Georgia Memorial Gardens, located at 3225 Joycliff Road, Macon, Georgia 31211.

Like his famous namesake, Jackie lived a life defined by his commitment to helping others. He saw the inherent value of each individual, regardless of their circumstances.

He was born in Cobb, on February 5, 1950 as the second -born child of the deceased Mr. Cecil Paul and Rosa Lee Robinson, and graduated from Ballard Hudson High School in Macon in 1968. He followed in his father’s footsteps at Armstrong World Industries, with a prominent 35-year-old career from which he retired in 2005.

In 1982, Jackie married Elizabeth Poole from Macon, whom he shared a beautiful and happy marriage of almost 43 years. He was a beloved father of: His daughter, Daphne (Gregory) Robinson-Darrisaw, son, Jackie M. (Benjamin) Robinson and Stem Daughter, Latonya (Maurice) Davison. He was especially proud of his grandchildren: Maurice Davison, Jr., Dr. Brandon (Tatianna) Davison, Brandon Glover and Jadyn Hardeman.

Jackie will also be deeply missed by her siblings: Brenda Robinson, Linda Faye Robinson, Darrell Robinson, Sr. And Teresa Ann Robinson, as well as a number of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousin and lifelong friends.

He was initiated in death by: His parents, Cecil Sr. and Rosa Lee, his son, Ronnie Blackmon, his brothers, Cecil Paul Robinson, Jr. And Samuel Robinson and several other loving family members and devoted friends.

He leaves a legacy of love and generosity that will forever be honored and appreciated.

Public display will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 7 p.m. 17.00 to 8 pm at the funeral board, which is at 3275 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31206. Richard R. Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Services is responsible for the events.
